Formatting is simple with Treeline.

Treeline has been designed for you to use. Most people with responsibility for editing a site are not programmers - they're communicators.

So why let the technology get in the way?

Treeline is designed to be as simple as possible to use. Most new users, with no training, can create and publish attractive, richly formatted, highly effective web pages in a couple of minutes. It really is that simple - because it doesn't need to be any harder!

If you can use the most basic formatting tools within Microsoft Word, you can use Treeline. It's just point-and-click, or drag-and-drop.

The hardest thing you'll need to do is decide what to say - and we can even help you to define your own communications style, work with you to finesse your online communications, or even create user-friendly and effective content for you.

So what formatting is available?

None of the content you can see on this site was programmed. Nobody saw any HTML code. We just sat down and typed. We didn't resize any images. We didn't type in any links. We didn't need to - Treeline does it all for us.

So what can you do with Treeline?

• Format copy with a single click - make it bold, italic, underlined, link to other pages, or to other websites, pull in content from feeds, twitter, etc. In fact, you don't need to employ a web editor. You can do it yourself!
• Copy/paste content from other sources, such as websites, Word documents etc
• Clean up old Word formatting with a single click
• Drag and drop images and video into position
• Embed video from You Tube, maps from Google, and plenty of other content from 3rd party sites
• Create, store and deploy panels (the boxes on the right side of this page). Panels can be formatted with the same flexibility you see in this page, or can be custom-built to perform specific tasks automatically, such as:
  • Automatically listing similar pages (similarity is judged by content and tags)
  • List links to content by the same author
  • Show latest news, related blogs or forum posts, etc
  • Practically any other requirement

Complex formatting, such as this "highlighted area", can be achieved with a single click - just choose the paragraph you want to format, and click the "highlight" button. Each design is unique, so we ensure the formatting within your site is exactly what you want it to be.

But what else can you do?

• You can also link to documents stored in the Treeline Document Library, so users can just click a link to download or open a document (such as Word documents, PDFs, etc)
• Treeline also includes a full media library, so you can store and play video and sound files
• You can preview the pages as you build, so you know exactly what your page will look like
• Our simple-to-use permissions system senior users can review and moderate content before it's published. More junior users can create and edit content - but can't make that content live, ensuring your site always reaches your high standards
• Treeline includes a live spell-checker in multiple languages
• The menu automatically builds itself, all you need to do is drag-drop the page where you want it to go
• You can create links to other pages, sites, email addresses, and anchor tags using our simple Link Picker - just point and click to create the link you want
• You can change the formatting of the page as you edit it - just click to turn on/off the panel column, hide the menu, or change the size of the content areas. Anybody can do it: you don't need any technical skills at all.

Embedding content from other sites? Simple!

To embed a video, just copy/paste the "embed code" (usually freely available on the video site) into Treeline. That's all. It's that simple.
